Lorenzo Sonego v Filip Krajinovic Head to Head

No previous matches have been played between Sonego and Krajinovic.

Sonego Eases Past Bonzi

Sonego was coming into his opening round match here against Benjamin Bonzi on the back of a poor run of form. He was also up against an opponent who is ranked higher than him on the ATP charts.

Which is why a 6-3, 6-4 win in a mere hour and 23 minutes would have been something to cherish for Sonego.

Slamming five aces and winning 73% of the total points on serve in the entire match, Sonego faced four break-points and wasn’t broken even once. In contrast he got the better of his opponent’s serve three occasions which was enough for him to turn the screws on Bonzi.

This win comes on the back three defeats from four matches for Sonego.

Krajinovic Scrapes Past Karatsev

Krajinovic was on the verge of losing his third successive match after having made a solid start to the season but came back strongly to usurp Aslan Karatsev in his opener.

The Serb needed two hours and six minutes to get past Karatsev after saving three match-points in the second set.

Having lost the opening set, Krajinovic was down 6-4 in the tie-breaker, and then fell 7-6 behind as well. He won three points in a row to clinch the equaliser and broke Karatsev twice in the final set to carve out the win.

This follows a quarterfinal appearance at the Pune Open earlier this year for Krajinovic after which he was bundled out in the first round of the Australian Open by Holger Rune.

Sonego v Krajinovic Prediction and Tip

Sonego is a slight favourite here at 4/6 but Krajinovic has shown he can pack a punch too. A three-setter looks to be in the offing here.
