Miomir Kecmanovic v Nuno Borges Head to Head
Kecmanovic and Borges have never faced off in a competitive match before this.

Kecmanovic Hoping to Break Three-Match Losing Streak
Kecmanovic looked to have made a decent start to the season when he reached the second round at the Adelaide International 1 and then went one better at the Adelaide International 2. At the latter, the Serb defeated Kyle Edmund and Jason Kuble to make it to the quarterfinals.
From there on, however, things have gone a bit south for the fourth seed in this tournament.
He lost his quarterfinal at Adelaide to Thanasi Kokkinakis, then fell in the first round of the Australian Open to Nicolas Jarry despite being a 3/10 favourite coming into that one.
Kecmanovic was also an opening casualty at the Dallas Open last week where he lost to Emilio Gomez in three sets despite going a set up.
In between this three-match losing streak, Kecmanovic did win a Davis Cup singles match against Andreja Petrovic, but given his opponent’s ranking is outside the top 1200 it’s tough to count it as having any part to play in improving the Serb’s mood.
Only a win here and a deep run overall could do that for Kecmanovic.

Borges Sends Johnson Packing. Again.
For the second time in as many days, Borges defeated Steve Johnson to make it to the second round in Delray Beach. And in doing so, Borges had won his first ever main draw match since his second round appearance at the Napoli Open last October.
Borges, who had sent Johnson out of the tournament in the qualifiers day before, faced the same player again as the American made it back into the main draw as a lucky loser replacing John Isner.
And for the second time in a row, Borges needed three sets to get past Johnson, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in two hours and four minutes.
Both players won 71% of their first serve points while Borges won 17 points second serve points to 16 for the opponent – underlining how close the encounter was. In the end it was about Borges playing the big points better that helped him through to his third successive win (including the two qualifiers).
Can he now make it four in four?
Kecmanovic v Borges Prediction and Tip
