Marta Kostyuk v Ipek Oz Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 20 year old Ukrainian, and the Turk, who is three years older.

The daughter of a former professional tennis player, Kostyuk began playing the game as an excuse to spend more time with her mother. However, she has gone on to outstrip the achievements of her parent, winning her first senior title last year in the doubles at the Slovenia Open.
The Ukrainian has also won three titles on the ITF tour. Her season began well with a run to the quarter finals in Adelaide.
Then in Melbourne she emulated her feat of last year by reaching the third round of the Australian Open, eventually losing to Jessica Pegula.
Her second quartet-final of the year was reached in Thailand, where her run was ended by Bianca Andreescu. Kostyuk’s most recent event was in Abu Dhabi, where she reached the second round only to lose to the Olympic champion Belinda Bencic.
She has been granted a wildcard in Dubai.

Rare Main Tour Appearance for Oz
Oz, who has been granted a wildcard into the tournament, is more usually found on the ITF tour, where she appeared in four finals last year, winning an event in Sweden on clay, her preferred surface.
Although she made her WTA main tour debut back in 2018 on home soil in the Istanbul Cup, her appearances on the senior tour since then have been limited.
She has only played sparingly so far this season, which began with a failed attempt to qualify for the Australian Open. Oz had no better luck in Thailand, beaten in the second round of qualifying in Hua Hin.
Spared the rigours of qualifying in Doha last week, she was well beaten in straight sets by the former world number one, Victoria Azarenka, winning just three games in all.
Kostyuk v Oz Prediction and Tip
There is very little in the form of Oz to suggest she is capable of beating Kostyuk, who has already got two quarter-finals under her belt this year.
