Roberto Bautista Agut v Marton Fucsovics Head to Head

Roberto Bautista Agut leads Marton Fucsovics 2-1 in their head-to-head, although their meeting in Halle last season ended in retirement win for the Spaniard.

Bautista Agut Guns for Title No. 3 in Doha

Roberto Bautista Agut could stand tall among the gaudy list of former winners in Doha. The Spanish veteran has won two titles from three finals and arrives this year looking to defend his crown.

Bautista Agut could sneak out of the two-title winners club which includes Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Stefan Edberg, Petr Korda, and Andy Murray, and become the first three-time winner of the event.

The 34-year-old continues to be the master of consistency. He’s won seven of his 12 matches this year, which includes a runner-up finish in Adelaide 2, and a fourth-round showing at the Australian Open.

Bautista Agut, however, hasn’t won a match since leaving Melbourne and is currently on a three-match losing streak, having gone down to Hubert Hurkacz in Rotterdam last week. Can a return to Doha inspire the Spaniard to bounce back?

Injuries Continue to Haunt Fucsovics

Going down the ATP’s second tier last season seemed to be the only logical choice for Fucosivs as he looked to rebuild his ranking from scratch. He has succeeded to break the top 100 once again and avoids the qualifying hurdles at the ATP 250 events.

Fucsovvics started the year playing at a great level, winning the Canberra Challenger – his sixth at that level. He went on to reach the third round of the Australian Open, losing in five sets to Jannik Sinner despite holding a two-sets-to-love lead at one point.

But it has been a rather modest return of results since Melbourne. Fucsovics lost his two singles rubbers at the Davis Cup and was forced to withdraw from his scheduled second-round match in Montpellier due to a foot injury.

Fucsovics has reached the quarterfinal in each of his last three visits to Doha, so he should not be taken lightly despite his underwhelming fitness record in the past couple of seasons.

Bautista Agut v Fucsovics Prediction and Tip

Bautista Agut is winless in three matches. Fucsovivcs is only getting back from a foot injury. This might be a flip of a coin, but we are happy to back the Spaniard who loves playing in this part of the continent.
