Arthur Rinderknech v Leandro Riedi Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first time the 27 year old Frenchman, and the Swiss player, who is six years younger.

Rinderknech Searching for Overdue Form
For a while last year, Rinderknech held the position as the top ranked French player, and it will be something of a disappointment to him that he has not been able to retain that status after a difficult middle part of last season, although he did make something of a comeback at the end of the year, reaching quarter-finals in Metz, Tel Aviv and Basel, and the semis in Gijon.
So far, he has not been able to carry that form into the New Year, which began with him playing for his country in the United Cup, where he won one and lost one of his matches.
However, he lost in the first round in Adelaide, and suffered a similar defeat at the Australian Open, beaten in straight sets by the Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki.
There have not been many green shoots since then. He did win his opening round match in Montpellier, but then was well beaten in straight sets by Borna Coric.
And, last week, he suffered the indignity of losing in the first round in qualifying for Rotterdam.
The Frenchman will be hoping that playing in home conditions will help him find some overdue form.

Riedi Part of New Swiss Generation
One of a new generation of Swiss players beginning to make their mark on the sport, Riedi really came to prominence last year on the Challenger tour, where he appeared in three singles finals, winning events in Italy and Finland.
He also appeared in three doubles finals, and enjoyed a tournament win in the USA in October.
As a result of all that, he broke into the top 200 in the world in singles and 250 in doubles for the first time, and there is every sign he will progress more as this year continues.
He has already reached one Challenger final this year, settling for the loser’s cheque in Canberra where he was beaten by the much more experienced Hungarian, Marton Fucsovics.
This will be his first main draw appearance of the year, and his first tournament since he was knocked out in the final round of qualifying for the Australian Open.
Rinderknech v Riedi Prediction and Tip
Despite his recent lack of form, Rinderknech will be favourite to progress playing in home conditions. He will be hoping that a good win here might finally kick start his season.
