Iga Swiatek v Barbora Krejcikova
Iga Swiatek didn’t lose many matches last year but one of the matches she did lose was against Barbora Krejcikova in Ostrava. Not only was that a loss it was actually a final which makes the win of Krejcikova even more significant. This is also a final and both of them have played impressively so far.
Swiatek was more impressive because she literally destroyed her opponents but don’t underestimate the last two wins of Krejcikova. Some of those sets were equally destructive as the best wins of Iga Swiatek this week.
Outside of last year’s match, they played two more times and Swiatek won those matches.
This is an interesting one because I don’t expect either player to smash the other. I expect quite a competitive match but I’m not sure it will go to three sets. Either way, I expect them to clear 19,5 games but I do think Swiatek is closer to winning it.
Her father will be in attendance for one of the rare times he will watch her play and I expect she will deliver. Take her to win.

Daniil Medvedev v Andy Murray
Daniil Medvedev played a superb week of tennis to book another final. It comes a few days after he captured to Rotterdam trophy so he’s in a really great form heading into this match. Andy Murray hasn’t played too many finals in the past years but here he is in a final.
He’ll face a tricky player who is playing really well but Murray did really well to get here. Just in the semi-final he saved 5 match points and three of those were consecutive ones to make it to the final. It might just be his week overall but winning the final will be tough.
He played Medvedev two times so far and both of those were easy wins for Medvedev. One of those was last year and the Russian had no issues. I do think he should win again but I think Murray can push him around a bit. The Russian showed a willingness to complicate matches due to his loose playstyle and I think Murray will have a chance there.
I don’t feel comfortable backing Murray to win the match but I could see him winning a set so I’ll just settle on the over.

Hubert Hurkacz v Alexander Bublik
Both of these players had to battle hard to get into the semi-final of Marseille with both having to go to three sets. They also saved match points in their quarter-final clashes with Hurkacz saving one and Bublik saving two. It’s going to be a very interesting match because I can see it going to three again.
They played five times so far and Hurkacz leads the H2H 4-1 with one of those happening this year. It was at the United Cup and it went to three sets. The most likely outcome here, due to the fact how both players play, is an over because both have powerful serves.
Neither will concede too many points on serve and both have shown inconsistencies in their play this year. Due to that I simply can’t see either of them winning this matchup in two sets.
The H2H favours Hurkacz and I would kind of settle on him winning the match in the end but for me, the best value is in the over.
