Tommy Paul v Michael Mmoh Head to Head
They played plenty of times before with Mmoh dominating the matchup so far. He’s up 4-1 against Paul but the most recent match came in 2019 and that’s a long time ago.

Tommy Paul had somewhat of a shocking end to his Delray Beach adventure as he lost against Radu Albot in the quarter-final. He returned to winning ways in Acapulco and hopes to keep that going against a player who has given him problems in the past.
He trails 1-4 against Mmoh and he’ll finally get a chance to avenge these losses. The last match was in 2019 and since then Paul made a huge leap. He was in the Australian Open semi-final this year and is 9-3 on the year. His last two losses were against Novak Djokovic and Radu Albot.
He’d like to avoid adding Mmoh to that name but it will be somewhat tricky. He’s an aggressive player who won’t mind the slower court in the sense of setting up properly but he will mind not having the luxury of finishing points of as quickly as he’d like.
That will be even more pronounced by Mmoh who is a really speedy player that should get to many balls. If Paul sprays too many errors like he did against Albot he might be in trouble.

Great Year for Mmoh So Far
Michael Mmoh is having a really great year so far and it’s been a long time coming. He’s always the talent to do it but it never quite worked out for him in the past. This year he’s 8-5 with a comfortable ranking inside the top 100.
ATP tennis is almost guaranteed for him in the next few months and if he performs well he’ll see his ranking improve even more. He doesn’t have anything signature in his game but he doesn’t have too many weaknesses either. He’s pretty solid overall.
His biggest asset when it comes to Acapulco will be his speed as he can get to many of the balls and keep them in play. His best bet of beating Paul is to force him to hit a lot of balls hoping for a meltdown. It’s a pretty common theme for Paul as his game can be really erratic.
If he can do that he might see the number of wins against Paul improve to 5 but this one would be the most impressive of them all.
Paul v Mmoh Prediction and Tip
This is an interesting one and I think we’ll see three sets. The reason I say that is because Mmoh doesn’t impress me with his tennis but he does with his results. I think that 4-1 H2H is not something to glance over so I predict a close one.
