Daria Gavrilova v Dayana Yastremska Head to Head
This is the first time that the two ladies are meeting each other on the tour.
Yastremska Roaring With Confidence
Dayana Yastremska, who won her first WTA match only two years ago, has already made it into the top 50 and by the looks of it, she shows no signs of slowing down now.
Earlier this year, she won the WTA Hua Hin Championships – her second title on the tour, after defeating the likes of Garbine Muguruza and Ajla Tomljanovic. With the sole exception of her final match against Tomljanovic, Yastremska won all of her preceding matches in straight sets.
She also reached the third round in the Australian Open after edging past Samantha Stosur and Carla Suarez Navarro. However, she ultimately succumbed to Serena Williams in straight sets.
The Ukranian won her first singles title in October last year, following a straight-set win over Wang Qiang in the final of WTA Hong Kong. She has come a long way since then and certainly poses a definite threat to many players.

Gavrilova Seeking Her First Win of the Year
Two months into the season, the 25-year-old Gavrilova is still hunting for her first win of the year. She has played in six events so far and has lost all six of her opening matches.
Needless to mention, this is by far the most disappointing start that Gavrilova has ever had on the tour. What’s more concerning here is that many of these defeats came in straight sets.
For instance, in WTA Acapulco last week, she lost to Mihaela Buzarnescu 6-4, 6-2 while in the Fed Cup, she was defeated by Danielle Collins 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. As for her other losses this year, they came at the hands of Maria Sharapova, Tamara Zidansek, and Yulia Putintseva.
However, the 2017 Connecticut Open winner is by no means a weak player. Over the course of her career, she has registered impressive victories over many top players like Petra Kvitova, Simona Halep and Angelique Kerber.
Daria Gavrilova v Dayana Yastremska Tips & Predictions
Gavrilova is struggling greatly with her form right now and it is hard to predict when she will snap out of this. It can very well be in this fixture against the inexperienced Yastremska, but that may be quite unlikely. Dayana has played some brilliant tennis this season and can very well reach the later rounds.
Tip: Yastremska to win 2-0: 7/10 (betway)
