Anna Bondar v Dayana Yastremska Head to Head
It is 1-0 to Yastremska; they last met in 2017 in an ITF event where the Ukrainian won in straight sets.

Yastremska Coming off a Slow Start
Things are not going well for 22-year-old Dayana Yastremska, who now finds herself ranked #142 on tour. She ended last season just outside the top 100 and the year before at the 99th spot.
She hasn’t won a singles title since the 2019 Strasbourg Open; since then, she has reached just two finals – the 2020 Adelaide International and the 2022 Lyon Open.
Yastremska is 7-7 in 2023 with her highlights being second-round appearances in Hua Hin and Dubai. Most recently, she featured in the ATX Open in Austin where she fell to Anna-Lena Friedsam in the first round. Similarly, in Doha, she was beaten by Leylah Fernandez in the second qualifying round.
The last time she won successive main-draw matches in a WTA event was in Birmingham 2022, where she reached the quarterfinal.

Bondar in a Rut
Clay-court specialist Anna Bondar has not had the best of the season either, but her story is a bit bleaker considering her present tally of 3-6.
The 79th-ranked Hungarian is now on a three-match losing streak, emanating in the second round of WTA Lyon to Danka Kovinic and followed by defeats to Kimberly Birrell and Lin Zhu in Merida and Monterrey.
Her best run stands in the form of a second-round appearance in the Australian Open where she bagged 70 ranking points.
Over the last couple of seasons, Bondar has done well to end the year with a fair number of wins (and slightly lesser losses), but most of those positive results have come on the beaten earth.
Bondar v Yastremska Prediction and Tip
Credit where it’s due, Yastremska’s record at the Indian Wells Open is much better than Bondar’s, which can be attributed to her preference for the hard courts. For this reason, she is our top pick for this match.
Tips:
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 18.5 games: 5/6 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
- Moderate Risk Tip: Yastremska to win: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with 888Sport)
