After the kind of start he made to the season, there were questions being raised in the tennis world if Bublik had lost his rhythm completely.
Forget winning matches, it looked to have gotten to such levels of frustration for the Kazakh, a first round loss at the hands of Gregoire Barrere looked to have pushed Bublik over the edge. He ended his stay in the tournament with a match loss and that of three racquets.
Fortunately for Bublik, things looked to have turned around a little.
Sure he still lost another first round match in Rotterdam, going down to Stan Wawrinka but since then has made the semifinal of the Marseille Open and second round of the ATP Dubai. It took players of the calibre of Hubert Hurkacz and Daniil Medvedev to send him out.

Tung-lin Surprises Two to Make the Main Draw
Ranked 175th in the world, Tung-lin needed to overcome two opponents to make it through the qualifiers. Both of them were favourites coming into those respective matches but Tung-lin held his own against Alexander Shevchenko and Francesco Passaro to make it through.
This is just the second time this season that Tung-lin will be playing in the main draw of a tournament, having defeated Brandon Holt on his way to the first round of the Delray Beach Open.
What Tung-lin hasn’t yet done in his career is win a main draw match at the highest level. This will be his fifth attempt doing so.
The good news is that Tung-lin has shown a steady rise in quality, having won his maiden Challenger title only last year.
