Alexander Zverev v Pedro Cachin Head to Head
Zverev and Cachin have never faced off before this.

Zverev Coming off His First Solid Showing of the Season
With his ankle injury keeping him out of most part of the second half of the previous season, it was always going to be interesting to see how Zverev returns to tennis and how much time he takes to get going.
It wasn’t the best of starts for the German who kick-started the year with successive defeats at the United Cup while a second round loss at the Australian Open and another one at the Davis Cup showed he wasn’t fully match-fit.
Another two defeats from his next three matches including one to Andy Murray in the Doha opener would have pegged Zverev back but he finally seemed to have found some rhythm at the Dubai Open.
Defeating Jiri Lehecka, Christopher O’Connell and Lorenzo Sonego he managed to make it to the semifinal there before Andrey Rublev handed him a straight-set drubbing. Zverev, however, will look to focus on the positives and one of them is the fact he has now started winning against the players ranked outside the top 20 more regularly.

Cachin Sends Out Basilashvili
Nikoloz Basilashvili was a last minute entrant into the main draw of the tournament after Novak Djokovic withdrew from it, but he did not last too long in the competition.
Cachin needed just an hour and 26 minutes to get past Basilashvili, winning 7-5, 6-3 to progress into the second round and set up this meeting with Zverev.
The Argentine was broken once in the match and it came as early as the third game of the encounter. From that point, however, he slowly clawed back by first levelling things out in the eighth game and then breaking Basilashvili as he served to stay in the set at 5-6.
In the second set, Cachin saved break-points in the fifth and seventh games before breaking his opponent in the eighth. He closed out the match in the very next game.
Cachin is more known for his exploits on clay having played most of his career matches across all levels on that surface. Can he find a way to carve out what would be his biggest career win in a hardcourt competition?
Zverev v Cachin Prediction and Tip
