Cameron Norrie v Tung-lin Wu Head to Head
This will be the first career meeting between World No. 12 Cameron Norrie and World No. 175 Tung-lin Wu.

Cameron Norrie should return to the world’s top 10 if he keeps up his recent form from Golden Swing. Norrie reached two finals in South America, losing one in Buenos Aires to Carlos Alcaraz, before exacting revenge in a rematch at the Rio Open a week later.
The Briton was able to shake the monkey off his back having lost two finals already this year including one in Auckland at the start of the season.
Having returned to the winner’s circle, Norrie’s confidence has gone up a notch and comes into the desert as a contender for the Indian Wells Masters.
He has previously triumphed at this stage and in this tournament back in 2021, so he clearly has what it takes to strike some gold in the Californian desert.

Wu Authors Shock Win Over Bublik
Despite entering his first-round match a whopping 3/1 in the ML market, and sitting over 100 spots below Alexander Bublik in the rankings, there was little to separate between the Taiwanese and Kazakh in the early goings.
Wu was playing better than what his ranking suggested and proved his run from qualifying was no fluke. With this being the last match of the day, Wu saved his best tennis for last, stunning Bublik and the small pocket of fans who had waited patiently into the early hours of midnight.
The World No. 175 won 6-4 6-4, leaving a disbelieving Bublik with plenty of questions to ponder in the coming days. Wu was never broken throughout the one-hour 27-minute contest, and hardly even faced any real pressure on his own service games.
The one break point he faced, he erased quickly and went on to garner two breaks on the Bublik serve which was a tad slower. The Taiwanese ended up picking up his maiden Tour-level win.
Norrie v Wu Prediction and Tip
While Norrie would have potentially prepared for a meeting against the unpredictable Bublik, his focus won’t be affected one bit. Wu’s run has been superb, exceeding his own expectations, but Norrie should start off his campaign with a bang.
