Taylor Fritz v Emilio Nava Head to Head

Taylor Fritz will be making his seventh appearance at the Miami Open but the American has never gone beyond the fourth round of the tournament. This year, the 25-year-old has a good chance of making the last eight though as he comes to Miami in solid form.
Fritz has a season record of 17-5 this year and has reached at least the quarterfinals of the last four tournaments.
The world no. 10 won his fifth career title when he defeated Miomir Kecmanovic in the final of the Delray Beach Open last month. He was also a semifinalist in Dallas and Acapulco and a quarterfinalist in Indian Wells last week.
Fritz, who had won the Indian Wells title in 2022, started the tournament well, but went down fighting to Jannik Sinner in the last eight stage.
He will be looking to make another deep run in Miami. He had made it to the Round of 16 the previous two years, but give his form he may go deeper this year.

Nava Stuns Isner
World no. 182 Emilio Nava upset 2018 champion John Isner in the first round of the Miami Open.
Nava, who has been handed a wild card for the tournament, did not face a single break point in the match and withstood 15 aces from the experienced pro, before scoring a 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4) victory.
The 21-year-old improved his career record to 2-7 following the win.
It was also his first main draw win of the season at any level. He improved his overall season record to 8-9, but seven of his eight wins had come in qualifying rounds (four in Challenger qualifiers, two at the Australian Open qualifiers and one at the Indian Wells qualifier).
He will be very pleased with the win over the world no. 46, which is the biggest win of his career. Nava failed to convert any of the three break points that he held in the match but he hit some excellent returns during the match and won the key moments in the tiebreaks to seal victory.
Fritz v Nava Prediction and Tip
Nava will be high on confidence but it will be a different challenge against the in-form Fritz. Expect the latter to dictate terms in the match and beat the wild card in straight sets.
