Grigor Dimitrov v Jan-Lennard Struff Head to Head
There have been five ATP-level meetings that have happened between these two players with Dimitrov leading 3-2. Four of them have come on clay of which Struff has won twice.

Following a first round bye at the Indian Wells Open, Dimitrov went down to Australia’s Jason Kubler in the second as he suffered an injury in the final set.
Kubler had overturned a first set loss to lead 2-6, 7-6 (5), 3-0 when Dimitrov decided he couldn’t go on and conceded the tie. That loss followed another three-set defeat at the hands of Alexander Bublik in Marseille where Dimitrov was playing in the quarterfinals.
Dimitrov had earlier showed early signs of sparkle when he reached the third round at the Australian Open where he lost to Novak Djokovic while also finishing as the semifinalist at the Rotterdam Open.
Wins over Aslan Karatsev, Hubert Hurkacz and Alex de Minaur would have given him immense confidence in that tournament.

Struff Converts Lower Level Form
Struff hasn’t played a lot of main draw matches at the highest level this season on account of his fall in the rankings but his performances on the Challenger circuit gives rise to hope.
The German, who has been a semifinalist at the Challenger tournaments in Canberra, Manama and Phoenix, converted that form into a strong showing against Fabio Fognini in the first round here.
Having made it through the qualifiers to enter the main draw, Struff defeated Fognini 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 to carve out a place in the second round following an opening round ouster last season.
Struff’s impressive form could allow him to dream of a shock win here, especially in the wake of Dimitrov’s fitness issues recently.
