Pavel Kotov v Alexandre Muller Head to Head
They will be facing off for the first time in their careers.

With wins over Benjamin Bonzi and Pedro Martinez in the first two rounds, Kotov had come into his quarterfinal against Christopher O’Connell knowing he had the discovered his winning formula. At least for this tournament.
And he needed to dig deep to find the same in his last eight encounter against the Aussie, with Kotov requiring two hours and 49 minutes to squeak through to the last eight for the first time in his career.
Kotov won 6-3, 6-7 (6), 7-6 (3), missing a chance to serve it out at 5-4 in the second set, and then coming back from a break down in the decider to win it in another tie-breaker.
This follows a season in which Kotov had won just one main draw match before this. Can he now overcome another semifinal debutant?

Muller Shocks Musetti
Lorenzo Musetti would be wondering what hit him. Having gone into his quarterfinal against Muller as a 2/5 favourite not too many expected him to go down to his 126th-ranked opponent.
Three sets and nearly two hours into the match, Muller had shocked Muller 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 to clinch his first ever place in the semifinal.
The first set was a breeze for Muller, who lost just five points on his own serve even as he broke his opponent once. Musetti showed why he’s a top-20 player as he came back with a bang, breaking Muller twice in the second set.
And when went 3-1 up in the final set, the writing seemed to be on the wall for Muller.
Except he wasn’t ready to give up just yet. The Frenchman broke back in the sixth game and when Musetti served to stay in the match at 4-5, Muller raced off to three match-points at 0-40.
He missed the first two but won it off the third to reach his maiden ATP semifinal.
Kotov v Muller Prediction and Tip
Tough one to call but Muller has been tipped to win this at 3/5. We could see a three-setter or at least one that has one tie-breaker in two sets.
