Botic van de Zandschulp v Marton Fucsovics Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and both have won one apiece. Neither match came on clay though.

Van de Zandschulp Hoping to Better Marrakesh Showing
Despite starting out a 1/2 favourite against Christopher O’Connell in his first round at the Marrkesh Open last week, van de Zandschulp was booted out in a gruelling three setter by his Aussie opponent.
Van de Zandschulp went down 6-7 (8), 6-4, 6-0, losing control of the encounter towards its second half.
And it’s not as if van de Zandschulp has a poor record on clay or that O’Connell is brilliant on it. In fact van de Zandschulp’s record on dirt is his best – he has a win percentage of 62% as compared to 56% in hardcourt competitions.
Last year, van de Zandschulp had made the final of the Munich Open and reached the third round at the French Open where he went down to Rafael Nadal.
Can he now dish out a solid showing to turn things around against a player whose only career ATP title has come on clay.

Fucsovics Starts off Clay Swing on a High
Sure they were just qualifiers but Fucsovics would pleased with the start that he has made on clay this season.
Featuring in the qualifiers of his first ever clay court competition of 2023, Fucsovics edged out Giulio Zeppieri in three sets before overcoming Filip Krajinovic in straight sets to make it to the main draw.
He did help himself to a modest showing on clay last season too, having made the second round in this very tournament and then entering round three at the Barcelona Open.
After failing to make it past the qualifiers at both, the Madrid Masters and Italian Open, Fucsovics entered round two at Roland-Garros where hw went down to Marin Cilic.
Can the 2018 Geneva Open winner emulate some of that showing from the previous season?
