Our 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Qualifiers Predictions & Picks

Spain is richly talented with so many experienced faces on the red clay. It would take a miracle for the Mexicans to win this tie, but do not rule them out from winning one rubber.

The amount of young and vibrant talent in this Czech team is unprecedented. Add that with the experience of Barbora Krejcikova who looks to have hit form at the right time, then Ukraine’s task is seemingly a foregone conclusion here.

Prediction: Czech Republic to win tie vs Ukraine (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Without Emma Raducanu, Great Britain’s chances of upsetting the 2019 winners have lessened. The French team looks intimidating on paper, but the form of Caroline Garcia is cause for concern.

Prediction: France to win tie vs Great Britain (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Canada will be without their talisman Bianca Andreescu who sadly suffered a gruesome injury in Miami. But they have enough talent in their ranks with the emergence of Katherine Sebov.

The USA are the most successful team in the event’s history. And with all their big names participating this weekend, expect a clean sweep against the inexperienced Austrians.

Slovakia have home advantage, but Italy have the squad depth. If the Italians don’t make a melee out of this, they should have enough talent to take them down.

Brazil will rely on their star player Beatriz Haddad Maia to fire them to victory. If the lefty can notch a pair of singles wins, things could get really tetchy for the Germans. Jule Niemier is out of form and Tatjana Maria could be fatigued. Expect this to go the full distance and with upset very much on the cards.

Prediction: Brazil to win tie vs Germany (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Episode number three of 2023 between Swiatek and Rybakina won’t happen this weekend, but you suspect Magda Linette will be tasked to take down Kazakhstan’s best player. If it happens, Poland could potentially have the upper hand in the tie. But it most likely won’t. Astana will be packed to the rafters for this one. Expect the Kazakhs to win a classic.

Prediction: Kazakhstan to win tie vs Poland (Click Here to Bet with bet365)

Kaja Juvan is selected but recently announced she is taking an indefinite leave from tennis for personal reasons. That leaves the Slovenians reliant on Tamara Zidansek. Romania might capitalize on this especially if Jaqueline Cristian and Ana Bogdan get them roaring from day one.
