Our 2023 ATP Banja Luka Open Predictions & Picks
Novak Djokovic doesn’t play a bunch of ATP 250s, so when he does make up the room in his schedule for one of them, he almost always walks away with the title.
Last year he won a couple of those in that category and finished runner-up in Belgrade. This being the first edition of the tournament, expect the Serb to make an imprint in Bosnia.
As far as Andrey Rublev is concerned, there is a risk he might be fatigued coming to Banja Luka, especially if he makes the Monte Carlo final.
That could open a window of opportunity for the likes of Miomir Kecmanovic (who already made two finals in 2023) and Borna Coric who is seeking to return to top form.
World No. 42 Jiri Lehecka is a player on the rise and he made a name for himself on the clay whilst playing on the ATP Challenger Tour. Lehecka is seeded during the week, which means he’ll at least avoid the aforementioned names in the opening two rounds. In the event Djokovic falters as he did in Monaco, there is real value in taking any of the trio mentioned.
