Iga Swiatek v Ons Jabeur Head to Head
Swiatek leads 3-2, beating Jabeur twice in their last two meetings in the final of the US Open and Italian Open 2022 in straight sets.

Swiatek Downs Pliskova
Iga Swiatek, World No. 1, survived a minor scare when she played Karolina Pliskova in the quarterfinal. Losing the first set 4-6, she staged a brilliant comeback with 6-1, 6-2, to reach the semis in Stuttgart once again.
The top seed enjoyed a bye into round two, where she began with a single serving of breadstick to Qinwen Zheng, beating her 6-1, 6-4.
It is good to see the Pole play well here, given that she did battle an injury last month that kept her out of the Miami Open. For her to recover and come back so quickly is a positive sign.
Iga’s record for the season is now 18-4, which includes a title from the Doha Open. She was the runner-up in Dubai and later a semifinalist in the Indian Wells Open. This year, the 21-year-old has shown more signs of vulnerability than she did last year – which is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, you need to lose to learn how to win.

Ons Dispatches Maia
Ons Jabeur bagged an impressive win in the quarterfinal on Friday by beating Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-3, 6-0. In the opening round, she had dismissed Jelena Ostapenko 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
It is a good display from the Tunisian who, like Iga, also battled injury woes in 2023. After the Australian Open, she was forced to undergo a minor surgery that kept her out of contention in the Dubai and Doha tournaments. Ons returned to the fold in Indian Wells and Miami but couldn’t move past the early rounds.
The 28-year-old rediscovered her groove in Charleston when she won the title after beating Daria Kasatkina and Belinda Bencic in the closing rounds.
As the current #4, Jabeur has built quite a rap on tour with all-around splendid performances on all three turfs. Her record for the year is 11-4.
Swiatek v Jabeur Prediction and Tip
This one can go either way; both players are in splendid form and field an exceptional pedigree. Jabeur may have the edge owing to her age and experience, but as Iga has shown in the past, it does not matter much. We are in for a thrilling encounter.
