Alexander Zverev v Lloyd Harris Head to Head
There have been three previous matches between these two players and Zverev has won every single time. None of them have been played on clay though.

Zverev Getting Better But Not Yet There Fully
Last year, around this time, Zverev had hurt himself badly on court and was wheeled off the ground as a result of that. He did not play the entire portion of the rest of the season and returned only earlier this year as a result of that.
Since coming back to court, Zverev has shown signs of his old sparkle sporadically.
There was this semifinal appearance in Dubai for instance. Or his performances on clay which saw him won successive matches in four of the five tournaments he took part in.
However, Zverev is still a couple of notches away from being at his best, with the German yet to reach the final of any event so far.
Add that to the fact he’s lost matches he would have otherwise won – like against Nicolas Jarry in Geneva this week and versus Christopher O’Connell in Munich – and you know that he still has a while to go.
Still, he’s also done well enough to know that a player like Harris might not have much of a chance.

Harris’ Won Just One Main Draw Match This Season
Only last year, Harris was ranked 31st on the ATP charts. He had only just reached the fourth round of the Miami Masters and would then go on to enter the third round in Barcelona.
A back injury cut his time at the Barcelona Open short and while he returned to play in Estoril, Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros after that, Harris managed to win a total of one set. He then ruled himself out of action for the rest of the season much like Zverev.
Unfortunately for Harris, even on his return earlier this year, things haven’t quite looked good.
Relegated to play in the Challengers, Harris’ only appearance at the highest level before this week came at the Australian Open where he won his opener.
He then made the opening round of the Lyon Open but was roundly beaten by Arthur Rinderknech and while Harris has earned himself a chance to feature at the French Open, his form and opponent makes it difficult to think of his chances here in a positive sense.
Zverev v Harris Prediction and Tip
Zverev should not have a lot of trouble here and we can expect him to come through in three.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Zverev to win in straight sets: 4/7
- Moderate Risk Tip: Under 30.5 games in the match: 5/6
