Marcos Giron v Nicolas Jarry Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before.
This will be the first match between Giron, who is 29, and Jarry, who is two years younger.

Giron Eases His Way into Third Round
Giron has now emulated his achievement from two years ago by reaching the third round in Paris, matching his best ever Grand Slam result.
And, despite the American not being known as a clay court player, it has been relatively plain sailing for him so far.
His first round match against the Serbian qualifier Hamad Medjedovic was notable for the fact that, although he won three of the four sets for the loss of just one game, he had a blip in the middle and dropped the second set.
However, he showed no such lapses in his second round match with Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic, the world number 41.
It was Giron who was first out of the blocks, breaking Lehecka in the opening game of the match and then followed that up with another to take the first set.
Another break put Giron in control of the second set, and, although Lehecka had two break back points, his failure to take either of them was severely punished when the American broke him once more to extend his lead.
It was the same story in the third set, with the Czech’s failure to take break opportunities coming back to haunt him as Giron broke him twice more to wrap up a straight sets’ victory.

Jarry Beats Another American
.Already twice a winner on the ATP tour, Jarry seems determined to confine to history the ten month suspension he served from the game after testing positive for banned substances three years ago.
Certainly he had little trouble in beating fellow South American, Hugo Dellien of Bolivia in the first round in straight sets.
Tommy Paul of America, who won the boys’ singles at Roland Garros eight years ago, posed a stiffer challenge, at least on paper, and, indeed , it was the 16th seed who made the better start, taking the first set, courtesy of the odd break in three.
Jarry came under pressure on his own serve at the start of the second set, but, having fended Paul off, hit back with two breaks of his own to claim the second set.
Again Paul had break opportunities in the third set, could not take them and was punished when Jarry broke him in turn and consolidated from there.
Serve largely dominated the fourth set, with the first ten games shared. Paul, though, chose the wrong time, as far as he was concerned, to drop his serve once more, and that gave Jarry the chance to serve out.
He made his second match point count.
Giron v Jarry Prediction and Tip
Neither man has been beyond the third round of a Grand Slam before, so whoever wins this match will be breaking new ground as far as they are concerned. The surface, though, favours Jarry, who is a natural clay court player, whilst Giron is happier on a harder, faster court.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Jarry to win: 5/7
- Moderate Risk Tip: Under 36.5 games in the match: 5/6
