Tallon Griekspoor v Mikael Ymer Head to Head
Griekspoor won their only tour-level meeting in Rotterdam earlier this year.
They also met once in a lower level tournaments in 2019 with Ymer winning that match.

Following a brilliant start to the year, the Netherlands’ Tallon Griekspoor has lost a bit of consistency on clay, but he will be hoping to produce better results on grass.
The 26-year-old Dutch, who won his maiden ATP title at the Maharashtra Open in January this year, has a career record of 5-6 on grass at the tour level.
Since the fewest number of tournaments are played on grass, so he isn’t too experienced on the surface, however, last year, Griekspoor had an overall record of 7-4 on grass, which included wins in the qualifying rounds. He reached his maiden grass court quarterfinal in Mallorca and also won a main draw match at Wimbledon for the first time.
Ranked no. 39, Griekspoor has an overall record of 16-10 in 2023. Most recently, he featured in French Open, beating Pedro Martinez in the first round, but falling to Hubert Hurkacz in a five-set contest.
This is his third appearance in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. He lost in the first round in 2017 and in the round of 16 last year.

Facing Griekspoor will be world no. 56 Mikael Ymer, who has been disappointing on the tour this year and that is reflected in a 7-11 season record.
Ymer, who was ejected from his second round match in Lyon after he furiously smashed his racket at the base of the umpire’s chair, lost his opening round match at the French Open to Lorenzo Musetti.
But while the 24-year-old has struggled at the tour level, he has done well at the Challenger level and thanks to that he is 20-14 overall this season.
Ymer will be playing at the Rosmalen Open for the first time. He has a tour level record of 2-3 on grass and he is 9-8 overall including qualifying and Challenger matches.

Considering their current forms, last year’s record on grass and this year’s overall record at the tour level, Griekspoor is the favourite to win this contest and advance to the next round.
