Boulter Shines on Grass
Katie Boulter has been able to put together a really impressive season which will see her return to the top 100 after a while. The British player has always played well on grass but she had trouble bringing that great form to other courts as well.
This year saw her win 26 matches out of 36 matches which is a very good run. The return to grass obviously went really well for her as well with a superb run in Nottingham. As of this moment, Boulter is in the final with a chance to a trophy on native soil.
She’s 7-1 on the surface so far this year which is even better than a really solid 9-4 score she had last year. If he opts to play in Birmingham, the Brit will see herself take the courts as the new British number one which is notable. She could certainly use this momentum to not only defeat Zhu but rack up some more wins.
A confident Brit on grass is a very tough opponent.

Zhu Returns to Winning Ways
Lin Zhu had a really impressive season in 22 winning 41 matches overall. She started well this year with an impressive run at the Australian Open and a trophy run in Hua Hin. She made her way to the top 50 establishing herself as a really solid a tough player to handle.
Her form dropped since then, quite a bit with the clay season proving quite challenging. She played only two matches and lost both on a surface that generally doesn’t fit her that well, to begin with. Her first win the March 4th happened recently in Nottingham.
She defeated Alycia Parks, another struggling player and it was a big one. Her first win in over two months to repair some of that shattered confidence. She’ll need it ahead of Wimbledon but don’t expect too much from Zhu.
She’s a hard court player mainly and this matchup here is certainly one that should see Boulter win. If she plays that is.
Boulter v Zhu Prediction and Tip
So the calculation is simple. Boulter is home, a better player on grass, with better momentum and presumably more confidence right now. Take the Brit.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Boulter to win: 1/3
