Anhelina Kalinina v Harriet Dart Head to Head
It’s not even been a week since Dart beat Kalinina in their first ever meeting in Nottingham. It was a one-sided affair with Dart winning 6-0, 7-5.

Anhelina Kalinina opened her Birmingham campaign with a straight sets win over Alycia Parks in the first round on Monday.
The match began with three consecutive breaks of serve with Kalinina getting two of those breaks. She held on to the advantage till the end of the set to go up 1-0.
In the second set, the world no. 26 got the only break in the fifth game and she saved 2 of 2 break points to beat the American 6-4, 6-4.
Kalinina had also won her first round match in Nottingham last week, but she lost to Dart in the second round.
The Ukrainian is 17-13 this year and she produced her best result in Rome, where she finished runner-up. It was the first time she had made it to a final of a WTA 1000 event but she couldn’t finish the match, withdrawing from the contest in the second set.
Kalinina was also a quarterfinalist in Hobart and will be looking to reach a third quarterfinal in 2023 with a win on Wednesday.

Harriet Dart dropped the first set against Jodie Anna Burrage in the first round on Tuesday, but the world no. 134 bounced back to beat last week’s Nottingham Open finalist 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Dart saved 2 of 4 break points and converted 4 of 15 to knock out the world no. 108.
The 26-year-old Briton is into the round of 16 for the second consecutive year. She also improved to 6-2 on grass across levels this year. After making it to the second round at the ITF Surbiton, she went from qualifiers to quarterfinals in Nottingham last week.
With Tuesday’s win, Dart improved her season record to 4-6 at the tour level. She had an ordinary season on hard and clay courts but has looked good on grass.

Dart handed Kalinina a straight sets rout in Nottingham six days ago. So she will have the psychological edge going into this one. She also has a better record on grass than the Ukrainian.
