Our 2023 ATP Mallorca Predictions & Picks
This will be the 3rd edition of the ATP Mallorca Championships. The last two years have seen a top-10 player win this tournament.
Only one top-10 player is in the draw this time, with Stefanos Tsitsipas accepting a late wild card in order to defend his title.
The Greek has yet to win an ATP trophy this year, finishing runner-up in the 2023 Australian Open and the Barcelona Open. One of Tsitsipas’ challengers could be Felix Auger-Aliassime although the Canadian’s shoulder might be cause for concern having not played a single match on grass so far.
Tallon Griekspoor is also a man in the form of his life. The Dutchman, however, could come to Mallorca heavily fatigued following his run to the semifinal in Halle (at the time of writing).
There are still question marks on whether Nick Kyrgios will even play this tournament having looked woefully short of match sharpness in his shock defeat to Yibing Wu in Halle.
So, outside the top-seeded Tsitsipas, some of the names to have a closer look at include Ugo Humbert, Adrian Mannarino, Alexander Bublik, and Christopher Eubanks. These players are exceptional flat and power hitters and thrive on fast surfaces.
- Outright Winner Tip: Stefanos Tsitsipas
- Outright Winner Dark Horse Tip: Ugo Humbert
