Zapata Miralles on a Three-Match Losing Streak
Known for his performances on clay, Zapata Miralles featured in his first tournament on grass this season at Queen’s last week but did not last too long.
The Spaniard who had hit a career-peak ranking of 37th in the world earlier this year, went down to Taylor Fritz in the very first round there. He lost 6-4, 7-5.
Overall in his career too, Zapata Miralles has won no main draw match on grass, having only made it to Wimbledon on two occasions through the qualifiers.
Where Zapata Miralles will hope to take some confidence is his overall performance this season which has seen him win 15 matches. This includes semifinal appearances at the Buenos Aires Open and Rio along with a fourth round showing at Madrid.
Unfortunately for Zapata Miralles he has won no match on any other surface than clay.

Harris Scrapes Through to the Main Draw
Harris has has his own troubles on grass and it has been no different this season. The South African fell away to a qualifying defeat at the Rosmalen Open at the start of the grass season and was then defeated in the first round of the Halle Open by Denis Shapovalov.
Here, Harris needed to come through the qualifiers to make it to round one and even that wasn’t the easiest run for him.
The South African player overcame first set deficits in both of his qualifying matches – against Jiri Vesely and Alex Michelsen – before winning the next two and making the main draw. The question now is if he can turn things around in the main draw of a competition like this.
What works in Harris’ favourite is his opponent’s obvious struggles outside of clay, giving him a chance to pull off a win. He will need to be prepared to take the chances he gets though.
Zapata Miralles v Harris Prediction and Tip
On paper, Harris is a 1/2 favourite which are fair odds to go with. Zapata Miralles’ struggles outside of clay make him a distant second favourite for us.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Harris to win: 1/2
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 22.5 games in the match: 4/5
