Sinner a Tad off the Boil in Recent Times

Sinner is one who has won a title this year at Montpellier. He has also made the final of the Rotterdam Open and followed that up with a semifinal appearance at the Indian Wells Masters and then raced away to another final in Miami where it took Daniil Medvedev to take him out.

Unfortunately for Sinner, he hasn’t done too much of note since.

Sure, there was a semifinal appearance at the Monte-Carlo Masters and but an injury at Barcelona forced him to miss the Madrid Masters. And he then crashed out in the second round of the French Open.

Coming into the grass swing, Sinner has featured in a couple of tournaments and again, fitness seems to have been a concern. He won his opener at Rosmalen but lost the very next round and while he did make it to the quarterfinal in Halle, he was forced to retire from that encounter because of a leg injury.

Will Sinner be fully fit and all guns firing at Wimbledon?

Cerundolo’s Not Had Any Grass Success

Cerundolo hasn’t been around for too long at the highest level with the 21-year-old’s career-best ranking standing at 79th in the world. He has currently slumped to 110th because of his poor form but what makes it worse for him coming into this Wimbledon opener is his lack of results on grass.

Scratch that.

It’s the lack of matches on grass actually.

In his short career, Cerundolo has featured in just two such matches, both of which came in qualifiers of events. And the Argentine lost both.

The second of those was held earlier this month in Eastbourne where Cerundolo was knocked out in straight sets by the 300th-ranked Skander Mansouri. Difficult to expect him to surmount any challenge for Sinner here.

Sinner v Cerundolo Prediction and Tip

Sinner can be expected to cruise through in three with the under games market looking a tempting option.

Tips:

  • Moderate Risk Tip: Under 28.5 games in the match: 4/5
