Eubanks Stuns Rindernech

Having shocked Ben Shelton in his second round, Eubanks made it two upset wins in a row when he overcame Arthur Rinderknech in a fighting two-setter.

Eubanks, who is hovering around his career-best ranking of 74th in the world, was on court for nearly two hours and registered a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) victory in the process. Slamming 10 aces in the encounter, Eubanks was up a break in the first set and was down a break in the second.

On both occasions the other player came back to level things out and push the set into a tie-breaker.

Eubanks did miss four set-points in the opening set but in the second, he converted the first opportunity he had to win the match.

He will now be gunning for his maiden place in the final of an ATP tournament, having made it to the final of six Challenger tournaments in his career.

Harris Eases Past Kotov

Harris had entered the tournament after winning a couple of qualifiers, struggling to seal victories in the main draw of tournaments in the recent past. In fact in the two tournaments he played on grass this month, he had failed to move past round one.

Here, he has made the semifinal, with his latest win over Pavel Kotov barely testing him.

The South African was on court for an hour and 38 minutes but never faced a single break-point in the entire match before coming through 7-5, 6-2 in his quarterfinals. Harris broke Kotov thrice in the match.

This follows Harris having overcome Bernabe Zapata Miralles and Roman Safiullin in the previous two rounds and he will now look to make it to his third career ATP final. In the previous two, both of which came in hardcourt competitions, he had lost to Aslan Karatsev.

Eubanks v Harris Prediction and Tip

Harris might be ranked that much lower but his experience gives him a bit of an edge here. Expect a three-setter though.

Tips:

  • Low Risk Tip: Harris to win: 8/11
  • Moderate Risk Tip: Three sets in the match: 6/5
