The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the two Frenchmen.

Rinderknech Aiming for First Wimbledon Win
This will be the third time that Rinderknech has appeared in the first round of Wimbledon, but he has yet to win a match at these championships.
In fact, his Grand Slam record is modest in general, although he has made the second round of the other three majors on at least one occasion.
There have been a few indications that things may be better this time.
He lost his first grass court match of the year in Rosmalen, but beat Grigor Dimitrov in qualifying, before taking Carlos Alacaraz, the eventual winner, to three sets at Queen’s.
And in Mallorca, where he was forced to qualify again, he reached the quarter-finals before losing in straight sets to the American, Christopher Eubanks.

Muller Has Had No Grass Court Warm-Up Tournaments
Muller will approach this match full of confidence, having just reached an all-time career high ranking, following his victory at the Emilio Romagna Open in Italy, his first victory at the 125k Challenger level.
And that comes on the heels of having reached his first senior ATP final in Marrakech, where he was beaten by the Spaniard Roberto Carballes-Baena.
Those successes, though, have all come on clay, his preferred surface.
He is one of those players who have chosen not to play any practice tournaments on grass, and therefore, comes to Wimbledon “cold’.
Last year he lost in the second round of qualifying at the All England club.
Rinderknech v Muller Prediction and Tip
Although Rinderknech has a poor Wimbledon record, he may believe this is an excellent chance to improve on that, playing a man who prefers clay and who has chosen not to have any match practice on grass.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Rinderknech to win: 5/7
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 29.5 games in the match: 5/4
