Petra Martic v Linda Fruhvirtova Head to Head

Fruhvirtova on a Career High
Linda Fruhvirtova, age 18, is the current World No. 49, which is a career-best ranking for her so far. Her singles record, interestingly, is 12-14 at the moment.
Nonetheless, the teenager has shown great promise on the tour and is very well a force to be reckoned with.
She last played in Eastbourne, where she fell in round two to Xiyu Wang. Before that, Linda was a quarterfinalist in Birmingham, where she beat Elina Svitolina and Bernarda Pera.
On clay, however, Fruhvirtova’s struggles were more prominent (3-6 on the surface). It was only earlier in the season that she delivered some wins, notably in the form of a fourth-round showing in the Australian Open.
Just two years ago, Linda was a semifinalist in Wimbledon Juniors – singles and doubles. Clearly, she has the history – all she needs now is some experience, a little bit of luck, and raw skills to do it again as a senior player.

Martic in Decent Form
Croatia’s Petra Martic is coming off a quarterfinal stint in Eastbourne. As a qualifier, she beat the likes of Rebecca Marino, Ana Bogdan, Katie Boulter, and Beatriz Haddad Maia to make it far.
Her record for the season stands at 17 wins and 14 losses. She is currently ranked World No. 30.
While most of her season has gone by in early-stage exits, there have been a few instances where Martic has impressed.
The first instance came in Linz, where she was a runner-up (beating Clara Tauson and Maria Sakkari en route). The other one was the Madrid Open, where she was in the final eight.
The 32-year-old has made it as far as round four in Wimbledon thrice.
Martic v Fruhvirtova Prediction and Tip
Martic starts as the odds-on favourite. That said, given her shaky season with many losses against lower-ranked, unsuspecting opponents, Fruhvirtova has all the precedents in the world to beat her. Expect a well-contested match.
Tips:
- Low-Risk Tip: Martic to win: 4/5
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 20.5 games in the match: 5/6
