Petra Martic v Diane Parry Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 32 year old Croat, and the Frenchwoman, twelve years her junior.

Martic has three times made the fourth round at Wimbledon, and the Croat will be hopeful of another good run, although she might have hoped for an easier first round match.
Instead, she found herself locked in a battle with the Czech teenager Linda Fruhvirtova.
Although Fruhvirtova managed to create a number of break points in the first set, it was Martic who was the first to make a breakthrough.
The 18 year old broke back straight away, meaning that Martic was made to do it again with another break, which this time she made stick to claim the first set.
In the second set, it was the Croat’s turn to drop her serve first, and then respond with a break of her own.
This time the outcome of the second set was decided by a tie-break, and it was the Czech who claimed it.
The match, though, came to an unsatisfactory end, with Martic a break to the good in the third set.
At that point. Fruhvirtova, who had been struggling with an injury, decided she could not continue, and she retired.

Last year Parry made the third round of both Roland Garros and Wimbledon, and she is up and running in this tournament again after beating the British wildcard Harriet Dart in the first round.
It was Parry who began the stronger and was soon two breaks to the good. But Dart slowly worked her way into the match, recovering first one, and then the other.
That eventually led to a tie-break which the wildcard claimed.
Dart’s game inexplicably then fell to pieces, and she lost the second set without claiming a game.
The third set saw the pair swap breaks once, and then again.
But serving to stay in the match, Dart gave her opponent two match points, the second of which Parry took.
Martic v Parry Prediction and Tip
Martic may have had her first round struggles, but her history in this tournament suggests that she is by far the more likely to reach the third round.
