Aleksandar Vukic v Quentin Halys Head to Head
Aleksandar Vukic leads Quentin Halys 1-0 from the Challenger Tour. Vukic won that match in a qualifying round at the Heilbronn Challenger two seasons ago.

Vukic Beats Altmaier in Four
Aleksandar Vukic won his maiden main draw match at Wimbledon on Monday, beating Germany’s Daniel Altmaier in four tight sets.
On a day when Aussie tennis was left grieving Nick Kyrgios’ 11th-hour withdrawal from the tournament due to a wrist injury, Vukic was a shining light in the men’s draw as he joined Jordan Thompson in the second round.
The 27-year-old, who has put together a career-best season that culminated in a top 100 breakthrough just a few months ago, spent the best part of two hours and 38 minutes to subdue the German one-hander.
Vukic won the first two sets, and seemingly cruising. But Altmaier broke Vukic’s serve midway through the third set for a 4-2 lead, and things got extremely interesting. The German held in each of his next two service games to cut Vukic’s lead.
The fourth set stayed on serve in the first eight games until Altmaier went 40-0 on Vukic’s serve. Despite saving one break point, Vukic was broken in the next point, leaving Altmaeier with the chance to serve for the fourth set.
Unfortunately, the German couldn’t seize the momentum and was broken straight away. It was just the opening Vukic needed and won the final two games of the match to complete a 6-3 7-6 3-6 7-5 win.

Halys Sees Off Evans’ In Rain-Interrupted Match
Quentin Halys is also another player enjoying a fantastic rise in 2023, making one ATP semifinal and winning a Challenger title on clay. Halys also put together a maiden run to the fourth round of a Masters 1000 in Miami earlier this season which included a win over top-20 player Alex de Minaur.
Halys came to Wimbledon without any notable preparation except playing one exhibition match in Hurlingham.
But the Frenchman was the player who looked more at home on grass than the experienced Dan Evans. The two players battled through the opening round on an outside court on Monday.
The match was rained on and eventually called off with Halys leading 6-2 6-3, breaking Evans no fewer than three times.
It was a fortunate break, giving Evans plenty of time overnight to reset and work tactics with his team. On resumption, the match was scheduled on Center Court, under the roof, as another wet day halted play on the outside courts at the All England Club.
Halys took a nasty tumble early in the third set, but it didn’t limit his movement. He continued to serve immaculately. Evans held too, and the pair went into a tiebreak. Evans turned a 1-3 deficit from an early mini break down and eventually won it 7-5 to force a fourth set.
Just like the third, Evans remained assumed on serve and had a break point at 3-3, but it was quickly brushed off. The pressure soon transmitted to the Briton who couldn’t hold in the 10th game of the fourth set.
Vukic v Halys Prediction and Tip
It’s a massive opportunity to advance to the third of a Major for both of these two players. Halys played 24 service games in his win over Evans and held every single time. If he continues to impose himself on serve he should win here.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Halys to win: 8/13
- Moderate Risk Tip: Over 41.5 games in the match: 10/11
