Petra Kvitova v Aliaksandra Sasnovich Head to Head
There have been three previous meetings between these two players and Kvitova has won two of them. Interestingly, they have faced off at the 2018 Wimbledon and Sasnovich had stunned Kvitova in that opener.

It did take Kvitova some time to get past Jasmine Paolini in her first round but in the end her experience shone through as she registered her sixth victory in a row.
Kvitova stumbled a little in the second set before coming through 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-1 to seal her place in the second round. This came on the back of a title win in Berlin a week before the start of Wimbledon where Kvitova had registered some solid victories including over the likes of Caroline Garcia and Ekaterina Alexandrova.
In the first round here, Kvitova needed two hours and nine minutes and had to stave off some solid serving from Paolini in the second set to seal her place in the second round.
She broke her opponent’s serve three times in turn, once in the first and twice in the decider, enabling her to march on.
Can the former Wimbledon champion now emulate her previous year’s showing when she had made the third round here?

Sasnovich Crushes Parrizas-Diaz
She was a 1/3 favourite coming into her opening round match against Parrizas-Diaz and Sasnovich did exactly what was expected of her. In fact not too many would thought she would managed to come away a winner in a mere hour and 14 minutes after seeing her match getting postponed twice this week.
Sasnovich did drop her serve on two occasions but she not only saved nine break-points but at the same time also broke Parrizas-Diaz on six occasions to forge a 6-2, 6-1 victory over her opponent.
This follows a couple of excellent wins for Sasnovich even coming into this year’s Wimbledon having made the semifinal at the Rosmalen Open and overcome Victoria Azarenka in Berlin to make the second round there.
What Sasnovich would definitely want to improve upon is her first serves which saw her win just 58% of the points. Against a player of the calibre of Kvitova that might not cut the ice.
Kvitova v Sasnovich Prediction and Tip
Kvitova will be a touch wary coming into this having lost to Sasnovich on grass before. Also, Sasnovich has shown she is capable of doing her bit on this surface and it could lead to a keen tussle.
