Madison Keys v Viktorija Golubic Head to Head
Golubic leads 3-1, having beaten Keys in their last three meetings. They most recently met in Tallinn in 2022 where the Swiss won 6-3, 6-2.

Madison Keys, seeded number 25 for Wimbledon, started her campaign well with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Sonay Kartal in the opener. The American won 71% of the points behind the first serve and bagged 26 winners – although she did commit 28 unforced mistakes too.
Nonetheless, Kartal did not have the best game herself, which made the job easier for her opponent.
That was Keys’ 22nd win of the season – in contrast to just 8 losses. Last year, she closed at 30-20, so by the looks of it, 2023 has been an improvement for her.
Now ranked World No. 18, Madison arrived in London on the heels of a title run in WTA Eastbourne, where she upset Petra Martic, Coco Gauff, and Daria Kasatkina en route to the final. In addition, Keys was a quarterfinalist in Charleston and Dubai too this season.

Golubic Beats Schmiedlova
Viktorija Golubic, World No. 139, started well in the London Slam beating Anna Karolina Schmiedlova 6-3, 7-6(4). The Swiss began her journey as a qualifier and defeated Mirjam Bjorklund, Naiktha Bains, and Despina Papamichail.
Her win-loss tally now stands at 15-13, marred by early exits on numerous occasions.
Golubic found some reprieve on the grass in the form of a quarterfinal result in ITF Surbiton and WTA Nottingham (beating Jeil Teichmann and Donna Vekic in the latter). In the other two Slams of the season, she did not move past the opening match.
Of course, this is also the surface where she posted her best Major results by reaching the quarterfinal in 2021.
Keys v Golubic Prediction and Tip
This one should be an interesting match. Keys has momentum, but she has lost to Golubic thrice consecutively. Moreover, Viktorija seems to be comfortable on grass – which will only add to the problem for the American.
An upset is on the cards here but is so an action-packed match.
