Aryna Sabalenka v Anna Blinkova Head to Head
They played twice so far and Sabalenka won both times. Neither of those was particularly close.

Sabalenka Survives Gracheva
Aryna Sabalenka had to fight hard in order to secure a spot in the third round of Wimbledon. She faced French player Varvara Gracheva who won the opening set 6-2 as Sabaelnka struggled with controlling the ball. Too many errors from the Belarusian with a shaky serve which didn’t help.
She played better in the second set and a lot better in the final one which secured her to win in the set 2-6 7-5 6-2 and a spot in the third. A very tough match for Sabelenka but she keeps her hopes of winning Wimbledon alive. After all, she is widely expected to go deep, possibly even to the final and maybe even win the event.
Her serve is the most crucial thing for her and when she started serving better the match turned. It will be crucial for her to keep that going if she hopes to go for a deep run. Gracheva didn’t have enough to use some bad play to her advantage but Blinkova might.
Sabalenka won their previous matches so she should win them again.

Blinkova Surprises Begu
Irina Begu is a very tough player to play because she’s just solid. She won’t win grand slams but she’ll produce a pretty solid effort most of the time so in order to beat her you need to be very good and that’s what Blinkova was able to do.
Winning in two sets is a pretty good undertaking for Blinkova as she once again proved to be very solid on grass. Begu had some good wins on the surface in the past year as well making this win looked rather impressive. It’s generally been a very good year for the Russian who has a 24-17 record so far this year and a 5-2 one on grass.
Blinkova likes to play on fast surfaces because her shots are quite flat which works well on the surface. She will be able to stay in rallies with Sabalenka but it’s unlikely that she’ll overpower her.
The matchup generally favoured Sabalenka in the past and it’s likely to happen again. Still, Sabalenka is vulnerable and Blinkova is capable of taking advantage of that.
Sabalenka v Blinkova Prediction and Tip
It’s an interesting matchup on paper but I think Sabalenka will win in two sets.
