The pair have never played each other before.
This will be the first match between the 23 year old American, and the Argentine, who is a year older.

Korda Has Not Won Since Queen’s
Korda first burst on the scene in 2021, when he reached the final in Delray Beach, and won his first title on clay in Emilia-Romagna.
He qualified for the NextGen ATP finals that year, only to meet the unstoppable force that is Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
Since then he has been in three more finals, but finished on the losing side each time, most recently in Adelaide in January.
A few weeks after that he reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, his best result in a Grand Slam to date.
However, a wrist injury impeded his progress, keeping him out of action for several months, with his best result since his return coming at Queen’s, where he reached the semi-finals without dropping a set, before meeting his old nemesis Alcaraz.
He has not won since then, though, losing in the first round of both Wimbledon and in Washington last week.

Etcheverry Needs to Adapt to Hard Courts
Etcheverry needs to get over the disappointment of what happened to him in Kitzbuhel a few days ago. The Argentine was top seed in Austria, and would have believed that, having been beaten in several finals before, he was about to end his trophy drought.
Unfortunately for him, fellow Argentine Sebastian Baez ended his dreams with a three set semi-final defeat.
That event was played on clay, his favourite surface, but, for the next few weeks, he will have to adapt to hard courts, where he is less assured, starting in Canada, where he will be making his main draw debut.
The omens are not necessarily good. The last time he stepped on a hard court in anger was back in March when he was beaten in the first round of Indian Wells.
He had done slightly better at the Australian Open, getting to the second round before losing to Jannik Sinner.
Korda v Etcheverry Prediction and Tip
Although Korda has not won for more than a month, his natural affinity with the surface, combined with Etcheverry’s preference for clay, tips the odds in his favour.
The Argentine will be hoping he can adapt quickly.
Tips:
- Low Risk Tip: Korda to win: 5/7
- Moderate Risk Tip: Under 22.5 games in the match: 5/4
