About Tennis Point Exhibition Series?
As mentioned earlier, this is the first competitive tennis tournament which will be played after nearly seven weeks of the suspension of all tennis around the ATP, WTA and ITF circuit. While it is an exhibition competition, consisting of eight players, its importance in the bigger scheme of things cannot be overstated.
The state of Rhineland-Palatinate has seen a drastic improvement with respective to the pandemic and that has allowed organisers to attempt this competition here. And while there won’t be any top 100 players taking part in this tournament, things could get interesting for those tennis fans starved for action.
Eight players will play a total of 32 matches across three days including round-robin and playoffs in each of the three weeks.

Tennis Point Exhibition Series at Rhineland-Palatinate Schedule & Dates
This Tennis Point Exhibition Series begins on May 1 and will last three sessions of four days each. The dates for these three sessions as follows:
- May 1-4
- May 7-10
- May 14-17

What will be the Rhineland-Palatinate Tennis Format?
Each of the eight players will take on the remaining seven in a round-robin style clash, thereby each player featuring in seven matches. The top four players will make it to the playoffs to be played on Sunday.
Each match will be played to best-of-three sets with each set being four games long. A tie-breaker will be held at 3-3. There is the no-advantage rule.
