What is the Tennis Point Exhibition Series?

As the name suggests, it’s a series of exhibition matches which will be played in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in the west of Germany. It will see eight players participate in a competition played to closed stadium with social distancing norms maintained as well.

One of the reasons why it will be played in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate is the coronavirus-led lockdown has been tentatively lifted in this region, allowing organisers to take a look at how a sport like tennis could cope in these trying times.

The competition won’t see any of the top 100 players participate but given the context of how things have been all around the world, it could be a huge indicator towards how sports in general and tennis in particular could proceed from here on.

32 matches are expected to play in this exhibition tournament at Rhineland-Palatinate, with the tournament to be broadcast live all over the world and allowed to be covered live by bookmakers as well.
