What Happened at the 2020 WTA Birmingham Open?

It was the second seeded Ash Barty who went the distance, winning the title by beating Julia Goerges in the final. Earlier, most of the seeded players had crashed out of the tournament by the second round itself, as Naomi Osaka, the top seed and Karolina Pliskova, the third seed suffered shock results.

Osaka went down to Yulia Putintseva while Pliskova was knocked out by her twin sister Kristyna in an exciting three-setter.
