What Happened at the Previous WTA Eastbourne Open?
Caroline Wozniacki enters this year’s Eastbourne Open as the defending champion after she won the title last year by defeating Aryna Sabalenka in the final of the tournament. She was stretched by won in straight sets to lift the trophy.
Earlier in the last-four stage, Wozniacki required three sets to get the better of Angelique Kerber while Sabalenka defeated Agnieszka Radwanska to make it to the final. Ash Barty, Daria Kasatkina, Jelena Ostapenko and Karolina Pliskova were the losing quarter-finalists.
