John Isner v Alex De Minaur Head to Head
The pair have only met once before on the hard courts of Atlanta last year where Isner won in straight sets.
Consistency Eludes the Big Hitting American Isner
The season started brightly for Isner with three back to back semi-final appearances as well as a run till the finals at Miami, eventually losing to Roger Federer. A month later, he went on to win the title at Newport Open as well. Since then, his season took a massive dip with him failing to pass round three in any of the seven tournaments he has played in.
With his loss to Stefanos Tsitsipas last week in Beijing, his chances to make it to the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals look thin. Despite this, the 34-year-old will be looking to gain some points this week since he did not play in Shanghai last year.
The American is in the top half of the draw where he potentially will meet world number one Novak Djokovic in the round of 16.
