Andy Murray isn’t sure whether he needs another surgery for his hip but for now his fans will be chuffed from the latest update he has provided.

Posting on his Instagram handle, Murray is shown to be practicing on court as he looks to return from another hip-injury-caused hiatus. Murray, who last played a competitive match in November last year at the Davis Cup, has already missed a few tournaments this season including the Australian Open.

However, these new updates in which Murray begins with asking whether he should continue fighting or give up, followed by an intensive tennis workout before posting “legs gone” by the end of the session.

Earlier Murray had announced the bruising diagnosed at the Davis Cup last season was mild but if not handled well, could go on to become troublesome. He also said there had been a formation of bone close to the hip in question, named heterotopic ossification (HO) which had been the cause of the problem.

Which is why he said he might need another surgery before he returned to the highest level of tennis.

However, Murray has also recently said he would like to play at the Grand Slams this year, including the French Open later this in May. He has also been awarded a wild-card at the ATP Queen’s Tennis Championship at the beginning of the grass swing.

Earlier, Murray’s mom Judy had said she had no real update and one would have to wait a bit more to understand if he will return to the sport any time soon.

She also admitted things had been a “physical and emotional challenge” for the multiple-time Grand Slam winner and added:

“He’s not going to rush anything, he’s going to take time and make sure his body is absolutely ready before he puts it back in again.”
