Swiatek got a break of serve in the very first game of the opening set and while Bouchard broke her back to level things off at 2-2, she dropped her serve to love the very next game.
The world number 54 then held on without any issues before winning the set on Bouchard’s serve in the ninth game.
An early break followed in the second set for Swiatek again and while Bouchard retaliated back to make it 2-2, that was all she would win in the match. Swiatek ran off to two more breaks of serve and four games in a row to carve out the fourth spot of a Grand Slam for the third time in her career.
She will now take on the winner of the match between Simona Halep and Amanda Anisimova.
