Albert Ramos-Vinolas v Facundo Bagnis Head to Head
This will be the third meeting between both players, with Ramos-Vinalos leading the head-to-head 2-0. Both their prior meetings were also on clay with the Spaniard winning in straight sets, at the 2020 Cordoba Open and the 2019 Sao Paulo Open.

Ramos-Vinalos Eying The Trophy
33-year old Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinalos was once ranked as high as number 17 in the world. A strong and consistent clay courter, Ramos-Vinalos is the winner of two ATP titles in his career and given how the week and draw have progressed, will be hoping for title number three this weekend.
The world number 47 did not have a strong start to the season, with indifferent outings Down Under at the ATP 250 and at the Australian Open. But, back on his favorite surface, he has looked in better form this week.
It had already been a long week for the Spaniard with two deciders against Juan Ignacio Londero and Tomas Martin Etcheverry, as he set up a final eight clash with favorite and top seed Diego Schwartzman.
A clinical first set saw Ramos-Vinalos clinch it 6-1, but the Argentine came back to claim the second 6-4. The deciding set looked even till Ramos-Vinalos clinched a solid break and closed the set and match 6-3, knocking out the top seed and looking like the favorite this weekend to clinch the title.

Bagnis Hoping To Let The Run Continue
Argentine Facundo Bagnis turns 31 years of age on Saturday, when he plays in the Cordoba Open semi-finals, hoping to win his first ever ATP title this weekend. Bagnis has been on the tour for a decade but is probably best remembered for his 2014 French Open win against Julien Benneteau in the opening round to register his best result at a major.
With a strong run on the Challenger Tour, the clay courter from Argentina has never quite managed to live up to it on the main ATP tour.
A qualifier here this week, it has been a good run for the world number 130, as he has registered all straight sets wins , including that against number eight seed and countryman Federio Delbonis in the round of 16. With fresher legs than his opponent from Spain this week, Bagnis will be hoping his dream run continues deep into the weekend.
Ramos-Vinolas v Bagnis Prediction and Tip
Despite three consecutive matches going to deciding sets, Ramos-Vinalos will be high on confidence after the win against Schwartzman. Expect a straight sets win here against lesser known Bagnis.
