Elias Ymer v Gian Marco Moroni Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 25-year-old Swede, and the Italian, who Is two years younger.

Elias Hoping to Exhibit Better Showing at Highest Level
Elias is the elder, and the lower ranked of the two Ymer brothers, although it was with his sibling Mikael that he enjoyed his greatest success, winning the doubles at their home event of the Stockholm Open in 2016.
More usually found on the Challenger tour, he has appeared in eight finals at that level, winning six of them, including in Pune in November 2018.
He began his year in Melbourne, where he just missed out on qualification for the main draw of the Australian Open, losing in the third round to the Chilean Alejandro Tabilo.
However, he has enjoyed better success in India, winning his first qualifying match against Dimitar Kuzmanov of Bulgaria, and then beating Marc Polmans of Australia. Both those victories were in straight sets.

Italian Clay Court Player Moroni
Like many Italian players, Moroni was brought up playing on clay, and that remains the surface on which he remains most comfortable, at least as far as his results on the Challenger tour are concerned.
He has been in four singles finals and one in doubles, all on his favourite surface. In 2021 he won his first Challenger title in Milan, and then was a beaten finalist a few months later in Como.
Like Ymer, he failed to qualify for the Australian Open, beaten by Taro Daniel of Japan, who would go on to beat Andy Murray.
It was back to Italy after that where he reached the last eight of a Challenger tournament before boarding the plane to India.
In the first round of qualifying in Pune he required three sets to beat the experienced Russian Evgeny Domsky.
He found his second round opponent, Kimmer Coopejans, the world number 206, easier to deal with, defeating the Belgian in straight sets.
Ymer v Moroni Prediction and Tip
The outdoor hard courts of Pune would seem to favour Ymer over Moroni, who is more at home on clay.
