Djere Has Impressive Start to Clay Swing
Djere arrives in Belgarde after an impressive start to his 2022 clay season. In Marrakech the 26-year-old reached the semi-finals losing to finalist Molcan 6-1 7-5. On his way to the last-4 Djere defeated Lehecka, Jaziri, and Musetti, reaching the semis without dropping a set, before losing out to Molcan.
Next, in Monte Carlo Djere defeated Cressy and Sonego before losing to eventual champion Tsitsipas 7-5 7-6(1). Therefore, so far the Serb has lost to respectful players throughout the clay season so far and should carry this confidence into Belgrade.
Based upon ranking Djere should face little problems based on the caliber of opponents he has defeated leading up to this tournament, a win for Djere will set up a fascinating encounter with out of sorts Djokovic in the next round.

Medjedovic Impressive in Turkey
Medjedovic is competing in his first ATP event of the year after having lots of success on the challenger circuit so far in 2022. The 18-year-old has just won back-to-back challenger events in Turkey, winning the M15 Antalya 8 and 9.
Winning the Antalya 8 involved defeating Popovic, Borza, Harris, Royer, and defeating Stodder 6-0 6-1 in the final. Medjedovic did not drop a set the entire week and lost just 21 games the whole tournament, crusing through to lift the trophy.
Antalya 9 was won in similar fashion with Medjedovic not dropping a set the entire tournament, this time defeating Kalendar, Kirci, Krumich, Kawakami, before finally defeating Royer in the final 6-3 6-2. This time dropping 33 games throughout the tournament to claim the silverware.
Djere v Medjedovic Prediction and Tip
An exciting match awaits the crowd in Belgrade as two Serbian players battle it out, with a guaranteed Serbian winner advancing to the next round. This will be an excellent experience for Medjedovic to test himself against a top-50 player.
The 18-year-old has nothing to lose so it is important that he soaks up the atmosphere and just enjoys the experience and play his best tennis. I think that Djere will be too strong for the wildcard, however, and will likely end the 10-match winning streak for Medjedovic and advance to the next round.
Tip: Djere to win in three sets: 3/1 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
