Shuai Zhang v Jodie Burrage live Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between the two players on the WTA Tour.

Zhang Surpasses Bucsa
Number four seed Shuai Zhang is off to a good start in Nottingham as she dismissed Spain’s Cristina Bucsa 7-6(4), 6-3 in under 90 minutes. The Chinese enjoyed a terrific service game as she bagged five aces and won an impressive 78 percent of the points on the first serve.
Now ranking World No. 41, Shuai will hope to keep the tempo going and reach the final in Nottingham for the second successive season. On her way, she may potentially run into the likes of Tereza Martincova and Maria Sakkari or Beatriz Haddad Maia.
As things stand, the 33-year-old is the most experienced player in her bracket at the moment. In March, she bagged her first singles title since September 2017 to retain her place in the top 40.
Zhang has also got a rich doubles pedigree with 22 finals (11 titles, 11 runner-ups). The only thing standing in her way is her physical endurance and confidence.

Burrage, the Local Favourite
London-born Jodie Burrage has got a good opportunity here to make a name for herself. The 23-year-old arrived in Nottingham with a tally of 19-15, having spent the entirety of the season on the ITF circuit (sans the Australian Open where she fell in the opening qualifying round).
Perhaps, that’s why she is ranking in the early 200s at the moment and has not made any significant leaps in the ranking, year on year.
Most recently, she reached the semifinal in ITF Surbiton after defeating Lin Zhu, Kateryna Baindl, and Mihaela Buzarnescu.
Zhang v Burrage Prediction and Tip
With a limited experience on the WTA Tour, Burrage is the clear underdog here. Zhang is primed wonderfully to win this one in straight sets and reach the quarterfinal.
That said, stranger things have been known to happen in tennis and Burrage, rallying on the support of the crowd, may just carve the upset. Those who like supporting the little guy may back her for a big win.
Tip: Zhang to Win, Under 20.5: 4/5 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
