Caroline Garcia v Misaki Doi Head to Head
The pair have never played each other before. This will be the first match between the 27 year old Frenchwoman, and the Japanese, who is a year younger.

Garcia in Fine Recent Form
Already this year, Garcia has demonstrated her ability on clay by winning the French Open doubles with regular partner Kristina Mladenovic. That was the third Grand Slam final that the pair had reached, and it was their second triumph after winning in Paris six years earlier.
And, although not known for her prowess on the surface, the Frenchwoman had a fine grass court season, winning the tournament in Halle, and reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon for the second time in her career.
She continued to impress on her return to clay, reaching the semi-finals in Lausanne, before losing to the eventual winner Petra Martic.
And she followed that up with a run to the last eight in Palermo last week, before her progress was halted by Lucia Bronzetti, despite taking a first set lead against the Italian woman.

Doi Ended Long Losing Streak Last Week
Doi has been in three WTA career finals, all of them in hard court events, winning the Luxembourg Open in 2015, and finishing runner-up in Taiwan the following year, and in her home event in Japan three years later.
She has also won two Challenger titles, and won a doubles event at that level earlier this month in Sweden.
But on the main tour she has really been struggling and went more than four months without winning a match before finally snaping that sequence in Hamburg last week, where she managed to beat a teenage qualifier in the first round before losing in straight sets to the experienced German Andrea Petkovic.
Garcia v Doi Prediction and Tip
It is hard to make much of a case for Doi in this match given the relative recent form of the two women. Barring mishap, Garcia should win with ease.
Tip: Garcia to win in straight sets: 1/2 (Click Here to Bet with bet365)
