Laura Siegemund v Jil Teichmann Head to Head

Jil Teichmann, age 25, is set to compete in Tallinn this week with a tally of 21-19 and a singles ranking of World No. 36.

That said, Teichmann has also had her moments prominently in the Dubai Championships, Italian Open (quarterfinal), and Madrid Open (semifinal).
She has also seen her fair share of wins over several big names like Kvitova, Elena Rybakina, Leylah Fernandez, Elina Svitolina, Karolina Pliskova, and Victoria Azarenka.
Clearly, Jil is well-versed on all turfs and can fare well in Tallinn.

Siegemund, Hoping to Shine
34-year-old Laura Siegemund has had an understandably slow year. She is currently 21-14 and ranked #179, competing under the protected ranking rule.
She has lost her last two matches – in Portoroz and New York – to the likes of Rybakina and Sorana Cirstea in the first round.
Her highlights include two ITF titles in Austria and two WTA titles from Lyon and the Miami Open. Siegemund was also a quarterfinalist at her home tournament in, the Stuttgart Open.
Laura is far more experienced than her Swiss counterpart. Although she may be low on momentum, she can make up for it with a superior pedigree comprising 11 WTA doubles and three singles career finals and a career-best ranking of World No. 27.

This is going to be a good match. Siegemund will not go down easy and is poised to put up a solid fight. Teichmann has the advantage of being a physically superior player. All in all, we may see a tight encounter.
