The tournament is hosted at the Atlanta Station in Atlanta and will be played on outdoor hard courts.

Last year Reilly Opelka was supposed to be the top seed but withdrew because of fitness concerns. Six of the top eight seeds including Opelka were Americans.

What Happened at the 2022 ATP Atlanta Open?
Third seeded Alex de Minaur won the 2022 Atlanta Open title with a 6-3, 6-3 win over the sixth seeded and American Jenson Brooksby.
De Minaur, who had a first round bye, overcame fellow Aussie James Duckworth in the second round, shrugged off a first set loss to Adrian Mannarino in the quarterfinals and then did the same against Ilya Ivashka in the semifinals.
Defending champion John Isner fell to Brooksby in the last eight stage.
John Isner won the 2021 edition of the ATP Atlanta Open by defeating upcoming youngster and fellow American Brandon Nakashima in the final. It was the sixth time he had lifted this title.
He won 7-6 (8), 7.5 in a tightly-contested encounter.
Earlier Isner had got the better of Taylor Fritz while Nakashima had overcome Emil Ruusuvuori in the semifinals to make it through. Nakashima had also sent Milos Raonic, the top seed, packing from the tournament.
The 2020 Atlanta Open was cancelled because of the pandemic.
Third seded Alex de Minaur went on to clinch the 2019 Atlanta Open title by beating second seeded Taylor Fritz in straight sets in the final. This was after de Minaur had needed three sets to get the better of Reilly Opelka in one of the semifinals while Fritz had overcome Britain’s Cameron Norrie in the other.
Earlier Opelka had stunned John Isner in the second round after the defending champion had got a first round bye. It was a match that went the distance, with all three sets ending in tie-breakers. Fourth seeded Pierre-Hugues Herbert was also knocked out in round two.
In 2018, starting as the defending champion, Isner successfully defended his title after knocking out his compatriot Ryan Harrison in the final. It was a rematch of the 2017 final where Isner sailed to a comfortable victory in three sets.
He started as the top seed and did a fantastic job of living up to the expectations. Isner thrived in Atlanta as he moved past Mischa Zverev, Alex de Minaur, and Ebden easily to reach the final.
Kyrgios was the number two seed for the competition but the best he could do was reach the quarterfinal, despite enjoying a bye into the second round. The likes of Hyeon Chung, Cameron Norrie, and Frances Tiafoe also had the opportunity to leave a mark but they succumbed in the early rounds.
